Gaia DR2 (gaiadr2)

Description

The second Gaia data release includes a five-parameter astrometric solution (positions on the sky, parallaxes, and proper motions - for more than 1.3 billion sources, radial velocities for 7.2 million sources, additional 0.36 billion sources with position and mean magnitude. Additionally, epoch astrometry for 14,099 known solar system objects and more sets of special sources.

Update

In order to be consistent with the naming of the ESAC Archive the name of the schema (database) holding the data of Gaia data release 2 has been modified on the 3rd of December 2020 from gdr2 to gaiadr2.
